School Project
Following the success of the Inter-Schools Competition when we won the trophy for the best school in Britain we decided to try and expand on this area. September will see the commencement of our schools projects. No other projects of this size are taking place at the moment. It is a very exciting development for wrestling in the North. The PE Teacher along with the headmaster/Headmistress in each school have allowed wrestling to be part of the curriculum for a 6 week period and there after it will become extra-cirrcular. The aim is to teach every child up to level one and then a certificate will be awarded. Inter-school competitions will also be arranged. It is hoped that this schools project will have many advantages, including obviously attracting more young wrestlers into the sport, including females and changing peoples perceptions of wrestling. I.E. Showing that it is not WWF! It is hoped that it will also have more subtle affects, such as, focussing children's energies and aggression into sport rather than elsewhere, where they may not be so well received. Also, to give the students something to be proud of and goals to aspire to.

The Schools we are to teach in are:-
Primary Schools
Aspull Church School
St. David's
St. John the Baptist

Secondary Schools
St. Joseph's
Kingswood College

Unwanted Boots and Leotards
If anyone has any please contact the club.
